SAI Colour Experiment- Kara Recieving the Element

I'm currently trying to find a way to color the linework I did of my LoK fancharacter, Kara. I know I found a way to use MS Paint, but that's only for simple concept art for things like clothes, not special portraits.

So I installed a trial version of SAI and messed around with the colors. I'm pleased w/ these results (this version looks better cropped too), but I might do a little more, like print it out and go over the lines to make certain things stand out, like the mountains and clouds in the background as well as some small marks on the lion turtle's claw. But as it stands, I like this very much.

I'm doing more drawings of Kara (experimenting with face expressions/poses) for a collage as well as piecing together her information to create a good backstory (her life in the lion turtle city before traveling the world). I even created a name for a comic/story she'll be in (she's at least in the supporting cast) and wrote down the prologue/intro spoken in the eyes of our leading man, Avatar Wan.   

So I'm making progress.
